Second the indoor chime won t ring when someone hits the doorbell.

I just installed a ring pro and connected the power kit to 1 of 2 mechanical doorbell chimes in our 1 year old house with a pre existing 16v transformer.

But then one of the ring pro s started going offline due to low voltage.

For ring pro to function correctly the voltage needs to be listed as good or when you tap it at least 3 900mv.

No more buzzing 12v at both chimes and button and doorbell button and chimes work again.
Was getting 12v out but only 6v at both chimes and ring doorbell.
The internal mechanical doorbell works perfectly the ring does not.
Open the ring app.
Disconnected the ring doorbell and reinstalled old doorbell button.
I have two ring pro video doorbells connected to a mechanical chime.
I replaced the doorbell chime with a heath zenith 2735 from the approved list same issue.
Looking online there seem to be plenty of reports of people having trouble with buzzing chimes usually when they first connect the doorbell and sometimes after a month or two.
I started by using the 16v 10va transformer that came with the chime.
Disconnecting power causes two major problems.
Hey genesis531 did you ensure that you have the ring app configured with the ring video doorbell pro to know what kind of chime kit you have.
To check the voltage of your ring pro.
My ring video doorbell 2 is buzzing non stop after working well for 6 months.
Tap the three lines on the top left.
You will need to ensure it has the right chime kit type under the main menu devices doorbell pro device settings general settings doorbell chime type.
When i contacted ring support they informed me that ring doorbell 2 does not have the doorbell chime type setting.
Mine is only 10va so they are sending me a replacement one that is 30va.
Furthermore they informed me that i need a 30va transformer for my mechanical door bell.
I ran brand new doorbell wire to support this installation.
